Aye guys

I don't know what to write here.

What I'll talk about!

So people did actually vote last time! Woo! It was a split of 1/1 so I'm going with the one that got in first. This is my experience of Bristol! I'm a travel blogger now! Yeesh there's something I never expected to say, I can't believe I'm actually doing this. Settle in, this is a long one. Like REALLY long.

It's definitely nicer than Tooting station

As some may know, over Easter I went to Bristol. It is a place where things are. What are said things? These are said things. Do you know what the last 3 sentences had in common? They all contained the word things... don't know where I'm going with this...

Day one

I went on a train. It wasn't from Tooting station. Then I was in Bristol. Magic.

After checking into the hotel the first thing I did was visit the Cathedral nearby. It was lovely. It's unique feature was some stained glass art dedicated to the rescue services during WWII. That's all I have to say about that really - it was just a nice building with a friendly atmosphere.

Next on the agenda was a visit to the Cabot tower to get the general scope of Bristol, and this is where things get interesting. It turns out Bristol is the land of 1000 towers. After walking miles through the arid, desolate landscape of a bustling town that only felt like a desert because it was mildly hot and we'd been walking a while OKAY *Takes breath* *Now that I have used asterisks in this manner I'm coming closer and closer to becoming a stereotypical internet blogger* we would see a tower-like structure on the horizon. Go back and read a bit if I lost you. The fact that I'm writing this is not a good sign. *Getting distracted again*. However, this tower was not the tower we were looking for. After confirming it was not the correct tower, I had to negotiate a diabolical maze of towers in order to find the correct one. I nearly died of thirst.

Me: Is- Is that it..? No, surely not... Oh, dear God, will I ever find it?

Fake Tower: Lmao die of thirst normie.

The view was nice at the top. Yeah I didn't die of thirst. Eat it, fake tower.

Like day one but it's the day that's after that n stuff

I did 3 things of note on the second day. If I did more then my memory is a load of tosh. This is very likely.

1. I went to visit the SS Great Britain. This is what happened when a man in an unnecessarily-but-awesomely long hat looked at a boat and thought "Hey what if there was a boat but it was made of shiny stuff and there was a thing at the back that turned around? That would be so cool!"

The result was the world's first ocean liner. It was made of iron and had a big turny thing. It worked.

To be honest it was a really cool ship. It had been renovated extremely well as it was found basically as a complete wreck in the 70s. All the rooms had mannequins complete with objects that might be assigned to said room. The outside and dry dock (Hey, Bristol really IS a desert!) were also very nice. Standing under the big turny thing was quite impressive. But, do you know what the best part was?

The engine room had another great big turny thing.

NO!!!!! WRONG TURNY THING!!!!!!

The same guy also had some other thoughts. One of them was:

"Hey, what if I made a really big bridge? What if I made LOTS of really big bridges?"

2. So I went to see a really big bridge.

3. The last thing I did on day 2 was go to an observatory. It contained a working camera obscura. The quality of the image is incredible so if you can see any kind of CO anywhere I'd recommend it. You can also move the image with... a turny thing. The other part of the observatory lead into a cave that was said to be home to a giant. I contest the fact that a giant lived there because the cave is really small.

Final day

Since this is now immensely long I will describe the final day in detail only if requested in the comments. I went to an art gallery that doubled up as a natural history museum.

Interaction/notes

Um, I have nothing to tell you to do apart from the usual xD but I do have a note. Thank you for the follow! I got my first follow a while ago, I appreciate it! :)
